Hizb ut-Tahrir Delivers Legal Notice to GEO News Channel For Airing Fabricated Report
Hizb ut-Tahrir has delivered a legal notice to GEO News Channel in response to air a false and fabricated report regarding its methodology. This legal notice has been sent in response to a false and fabricated report which was broadcast on the night of 18th December 2013 in their program “Aaj Kamran Khan ke Sath”. After the airing of this news report, Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan on 23rd December 2013 issued a Letter of Clarification, in which Hizb ut-Tahrir denied and refuted this defamation and clarified that Hizb ut-Tahrir conducts political and intellectual struggle following the methodology of Messenger of Allah (saaw) and considers material or militant activity Haram for the cause of establishing Khilafah. Therefore the Geo News channel was requested to air the statement of Hizb ut-Tahrir in the same manner as they aired the false and fabricated report. Despite the lapse of one full calendar month, the administration put aside the basic principles of journalism and unbiased reporting, for it has not aired the clarification from Hizb ut-Tahrir. So, Hizb ut-Tahrir has now sent a legal notice to Geo news channel of its intent to pursue legal prosecution for defamation. In this notice, it is stated that, “Hizb ut-Tahrir cannot even think of killing a Muslim because it is Haram as per Islam. Moreover Hizb ut-Tahrir is calling the armed forces for Nussrah (Support) to secure the re-establishment of the Khilafah so it is nonsense to even suggest it would harm the same armed forces in any way whatsoever.” It is further stated in the notice that if Geo channel does not air the letter of clarification from Hizb ut-Tahrir issued on 23rd of December 2013 within ten days after receiving this legal notice, then Hizb ut-Tahrir, through its legal representation, will initiate Civil as well as Criminal proceedings.

جھوٹے الزامات خلافت کے قیام کی جدوجہد کو روک نہیں سکتے
حزب التحریر نے جیو نیوز چینل کو جھوٹی خبر چلانے پر قانونی نوٹس جاری کر دیا
حزب التحریر نے جیو نیوز چینل کو اس کے خلاف جھوٹی خبر نشر کرنے پر قانونی نوٹس بھیج دیا ہے۔ یہ قانونی نوٹس اس جھوٹی خبر کے حوالے سے جیو نیوز چینل کو بھیجا گیا ہے جو انھوں نے 18 دسمبر 2013 کی رات پروگرام "آج کامران خان کے ساتھ" میں نشر کی تھی۔ اس پروگرام میں یہ کہا گیا کہ حزب التحریر نے ہنگو میں ہونے والے خودکش دھماکے کی ذمہ داری قبول کرلی ہے جس میں افواج پاکستان کے پانچ فوجی مارے گئے ہیں۔
اس خبر کے نشر ہونے کے بعد حزب التحریر ولایہ پاکستان نے 23 دسمبر 2013 کو جیو نیوز چینل کے نام ایک وضاحتی خط جاری کیا تھا جس میں اس خبر کی تردید کی گئی تھی اور یہ بتایا گیا تھا کہ حزب التحریر خلافت کے قیام کے لیے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے طریقے کی پیروی کرتے ہوئے سیاسی و فکری جدو جہد کرتی ہے اور اس مقصد کے حصول کے لیے عسکری جدو جہد کو حرام سمجھتی ہے۔ لہٰذا جیو نیوز چینل سے کہا گیا تھا کہ وہ اس حوالے سے ویسے ہی حزب التحریر کے موقف کوپیش کریں جس طرح انھوں نے اس کے حوالے سے ایک جھوٹی خبر کو نشر کیا تھا۔یہ خط نہ صرف ہماری ویب سائٹ پر جاری ہوا بلکہ کراچی میں جیو کے مرکزی آفس میں بھی بھیجوایا گیا تھا۔
تقریباً ایک ماہ گزر جانے کے باوجود جیو نیوز چینل کی انتظامیہ نے صحافتی اصولوں اور غیر جانبدارانہ رپورٹنگ کو بالائے طاق رکھتے ہوئے حزب التحریر کی تردید کو نشر نہیں کیا۔ لہٰذا اب حزب التحریر نے جیو نیوز چینل کو ایک قانونی نوٹس ارسال کیا ہے ۔ اس نوٹس میں یہ کہا گیا ہے کہ حزب التحریر کسی مسلمان کی جان لینے کا سوچ بھی نہیں سکتی کیونکہ ایسا کرنا اسلام کی رو سے حرام ہے ۔ اس کے علاوہ جس فوج سے حزب نصرۃ طلب کرتی ہے اسے نقصان پہنچانے کا الزام انتہائی مذحکہ خیز اور بچکانہ ہے۔ نوٹس میں یہ بھی کہا گیا ہے کہ اس نوٹس کے ملنے کے دس دن کے اندر اگر جیو نیوز چینل نے اس خبر کی تردید اور حزب التحریر کی جانب سے 23 دسمبر 2013 کو جاری کیے گئے ضاحتی خط کو اپنے نشریاتی اداروں کے ذریعے عوام کے سامنے پیش نہ کیا توحزب التحریر اپنے وکیل کے توسط سے ان کے خلاف قانونی چارہ جوئی شروع کرے گی۔
